Introducing our new program...Teen Tech Tutors!
Are you a tech savvy student who needs your high school community service requirements? Are you an adult who needs some help with computer basics such as how to make an email account, how to get on Facebook, how to do a Google search or help with your Kindle? We are putting the tech savvy students together with adults who want to learn how to operate in this tech savvy world!
The first step is to set up a database of teen tutors. Teens who are tech savvy, patient and interested in this program, are asked to contact the library at 963-3012, or to stop in. We will have you fill out an informational page including hours of availability. Ideally, the library would like students to commit to a minimum of one hour a week during the summer, such as Tuesdays from 1 – 2pm, for example. Once tutors are scheduled, the library will advertise to the adult community. In the meantime, adults are invited to give the library a call now and to provide contact information for us to call you when the tutors are in place.
It is our goal to provide a program that is beneficial to both teens and adult community members. If you have questions, please call or stop in the library. Feel free to share this with friends who might be interested, both teens and adults. Thanks!
